5 Ways To Use Curd As Part Of Your Beauty Routine

Curd is an excellent source of calcium, protein, and various essential vitamins. It is packed with the goodness of vitamin D which can provide your skin with a whole lot of benefits. The lactic acid present in the curd helps in shedding the dead cells from the skin and also fights against wrinkles and early signs of aging. Apart from this, the lactic acid also helps moisturize the skin leaving it soft and supple. It also enhances the face  glow, prevents acne breakouts, reduces redness from the skin,  and also aids in removing the tanning. Here we have got you 5 ways in which you can use curd as part of your beauty routine!

1. Acts As A Moisturiser

If you feel that you've lost moisture from your skin, then you can bring curd to your rescue as it acts as an excellent moisturizer. Applying curd everyday on your face can help you get a soft, nourished and supple skin. Just take some curd and add honey to it. Mix it well and apply it on your face. Allow it to stay for around 15 minutes and wash off your face with cold water.

2. Provides Relief From Sunburn

When the UV rays come in contact of our skin, they effect the body cells and make them look dull and tanned. Hence, sometimes severe sunburn can even lead to rashes and blisters. Applying curd on the affected areas can help you get some relief.  This is because yogurt is rich in zinc and has anti-inflammatory properties.

3.  Prevents Acne

In order to prevent acne on our skin, curd should be your go-to remedy as it is rich in anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Applying curd on acne prone areas will minimize them.

4. Lightens Dark Circles

To get rid of those dark circles, take some fresh curd and apply beneath your eyes and allow it to stay for 10 minutes. Once it is done, rinse off your eyes with cold water. Repeat this method every day and watch out for results.

5. Improves Hair Quality

Using curd and egg as a substitute for your conditioner will help you get soft and nourished hair. Take 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of curd (it may vary according to the length of your hair). Mix the two ingredients till a thick mixture is formed. Apply all over your hair and rinse it off after 10 minutes.
